One day workshop in Taj Fisherman's Cove

B.Jeyavarthanaraj : 30-10-04

We Students of IBS-C (05: 30 students & 06 – 100 students) had one day workshop in Taj leisure hotels - Fisherman's Cove!

Workshop was by DIG of Chennai Police - Pradeep V. Philip (IAS) – one of the board members of IBS-C on EQ ‘Equilibrium Thinking’. We had both indoor and outdoor events. Indoor was as usual full of Soft skill and Equilibrium Thinking concepts (Be in it, to Beat it).

In outdoor we had great fun on the Beach: Coining words which will total to 100. We all know 'Attitude' ads up to 100, but Discipline and innovator also adds up to 100.
We had Bulls Eye practice (I tried thrice could only reach second target once: No one hit the bulls eye), A Balloon exercise and Word games.

In Bulls eye they wanted to know about people who try again and again, in Balloon exercise they tried to identify people who get more signatures and who maintain it better (many people were showing lethargy in blowing and getting sign). Creativity was checked in word exercise. Finally the event I liked the most was Rope game: 'The Tug of war'. Our team lost the game but still it was a great fun! Only in the last one hour we were let free to Rome around the Beach.

In Indoor we had attitude, Leadership and psychology questionnaires. Theories on stress management, Time management, Success, Leadership, ‘SELF’, Sub-Conscious mind.... lot of others. Mr. Philip was one of the people who were injured in Rajiv Gandhi's Bomb blast. He was just a few meters away from the blast. He shared many other experiences with us.

About Taj Fisherman's Cove:

We went out of the city in 3 busses, crossed the toll gate - and then in a few kilometers we reached Taj Fisherman's Cove. When the bus entered the hotel, I saw 2 ducks crossing the car park place and I had a view of the hotel: WOW. It’s directly on a beach - with beach view rooms and cottages.

Rooms costs from 6000 - 10000, we have 88 luxury cottages and elegantly appointed rooms with spectacular views of the sea, private open garden showers, private sit-outs, A nice pool with built in Bar, Massage rooms, Sun Bath, Beach games, A nice garden, and many others. Mostly occupied by foreigners (its 250 - 450 dollars for them).

The food was ok – a small (non-veg) menu, and tea was bad both times and the coffee was good! But quality of food and taste was good, mainly we could have .It was a great day: Knowledge with Fun! With money too – but we paid only 200, actually we have to pay at least 10000 if we want to stay there one day!

Hi, As part of a case study for a potential employer, I need to contact people who make new friends on the internet and who routinely search the internet for related information. The focus is on keyword ('making friends' for example) selection. I've found people via making friends but would like to talk to more. Have you any ideas how to contact more people?
Cheers
